I can’t get it to take my partner id and password. I went to their site to get it because the get partner id function in the plugin didn’t work.

I’m having the same problem, even after adding the Blog Title to the general settings.

the admin panel I am referring to is the admin panel on my www.remarpro.com blog. Under the design section, when I go to themes and click on the theme I want to preview a window opens up that lets you activate the theme if you want it. when I click on the preview the window that opens up is blank.

I’m uploading them via Go Daddy. They have an upload system and I upload the themes into the WordPress/Content/Theme files in my WordPress database on Go Daddy which is where the Classic and Default theme files are.

I finally figured it out. I went to go daddy and found the files and figured out how to change the permissions. It was quite simple ONCE I found a video online that explained just what it was I needed to do.

whooami…sorry, didn’t mean to be ungrateful but most of the explanations were so complicated and above my level of expertise that they didn’t mean anything to me. I finally found a video that explained it in much simpler terms.

Not everyone is an expert at this stuff.

I wish someone would explain why my themes aren’t writable either. I was told I had to make them writable but nowhere do I get a message that they need to be made writable. I don’t get it.

the support for www.remarpro.com isn’t very good in my opinion and I’m frustrated no end.

No I don’t get any error messages at all and there is nothing saying I need to make it writable.

Obviously I’m in over my head. I just went to the Theme Editor. Click on the RTL Stylesheet and pasted the code into it and clicked on update file.

Nothing happens…it goes back to the original file.

I give up…thanks for your help. I’ll study the links when I’m feeling better and not so frustrated.

I appreciate very much you trying to help. I’m used to making easy changes in WordPress.com to the CSS code and I just don’t even know what you are talking about.

I understand what you are saying and I’ll try Firebug but the Theme editor won’t change the files!

I’ve got the webdeveloper toolbar which shows changes but files are different areas than in WordPress themes.

I just made changes in Notepad and put in the whole css code after deleting the old file and it STILL didn’t save it. It went right back to what was originally there.

So, you have to overwrite the whole file unlike WordPress.com where you can just change portions of the CSS and hit save?

Not very convenient to change CSS is it?

Sorry about the duplicate, I couldn’t find the other one and it didn’t show up in search.

The cache is not the problem. The theme editor will just not hold a change.

Is this the only support available?

When I hit save and scroll back through the code it is back to what it originally was.

I’ll try clearing the cache after editing.
