I am also running into this issue, as I try to manually create a WordPress XML file that automatically sets a featured image from an absolute URL (from my old blog). Did you ever figure this out?

Ok, I’ve deactivated the plugin and had to make some changes to my theme, but it seems to be working. Odd problem.
the “re-install automatically” did not help either.
I was hoping that was the problem (corrupted code) but after uploading all files, and then all js files again, I still have the same problem. What else could the plugin have modified?
I guess I’ll try the “Re-install automatically” button from the dashboard?
