I solved the issue by installing php5-curl on the server
sudo apt-get install php5-curl
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restartI think this should be clarified in the instructions

I was expecting the plugin to download the whole content, including the three BR elements, but it is not ( => https://cl.ly/image/1o01061R2P2I)I understand that if the facebook API does not return any HTML there is nothing to do. Could you confirm?
In the meanwhile I will take a look at the Custom HTML Options.
