That’s a “classic” case for what is described in this integration tutorial. However, I have to warn you: any internal blog/WP link will take the visitor to the ugly default themed blog! (it is mentioned even in the tutorial, people just don’t read it carefully…)

Yeah, that’s called: blog. That’s how they work.

You can NOT “send” posts to any other page.
However, you can exclude certain post categories from showing up on the main/front page. Search for a plugin: Advanced Category Excluder.

You shouldn’t use alpha/beta on production sites…

Are you sure you know what are you doing?
You were supposed to change back the “site_url” and “home” values in the wp_options table, following the tutorial mercime posted for you.
(everything else comes AFTER that)

What are you doing with backing up and all that confusing stuff?
