In reply to: Moving WebsiteI actually can’t find anymore broken URL’s – problem now seems to be with DB as many of the general theme settings have changed back to defaults! I know they are stored in the DB and maybe this is something that I caused when I ran a DB search & replace. I read something about serialized entries that could break when a search & replace is done, and only to run a s&r on particular tables!
Should I restore the DB? To do this is it just an import from within myphpadmin? Can you recommend a plugin that will do a better job than just a search & replace?
Thanks

In reply to: Moving WebsiteI tried Velvet Blues and it couldn’t find any of the old URL’s so nothing to change. Could this be anything to do with the .htaccess file?

In reply to: Moving WebsiteNo, I used this one…

I do also have the “Velvet Blues Update URLs” plugin but haven’t used it yet – do you think I should try this too?
Thanks

In reply to: Moving WebsiteWhen you say resaving, do you mean change to something else, save, then revert back and save again?

In reply to: Moving WebsiteHi,
Not sure whether you can help me with this but I backed up my entire site, exported the database, changed my WordPress and Site addresses in WP Admin, then found the option on Godaddy to move the WordPress site from one location to another. So I moved from https://www.slowestrunner.com/tgg to https://www.twogoglobal.com and the homepage of my site came up and so did the WP admin page. What are not working are any of the pages off of the homepage, so everything I click on comes back with a 404, my logo is missing, and a bunch of formatting is missing.
I tried something that Godaddy suggested, by installing a search & replace plugin – I had just over 1000 DB entries that were still pointing at my old URL so I replaced them with the new URL. Still have the same problem!
Any ideas?
Thanks,

In reply to: Moving WebsiteThis may sound dumb but the first item says to Download existing site files – I was just going to backup the entire /tgg directory containing the child theme, images, wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes, and a bunch of php files. Turns out I have almost 100,000 files there! Are there specific directories I should get or do I need the whole thing?
Cheers,

In reply to: Moving WebsiteThanks – would that change all the permalinks too? Also, am I meant to see a .htaccess file?
