do you need the meta option , i described how to setup the default slaider in another post … perhaps that will serve your needs also …

Allthough it is indeed a tiny mishap , don’t worry too much about it , if you follow the link that’s been reported it is no picture from your website , just a blink slider picture.

But if you really want to get rid of that ….

Open this file :
/wp-content/themes/nikkon/templates/slider/homepage-slider.php

Change this line : /images/slider_blank_img_medium.gif”/>

Into this /images/slider_blank_img_medium.gif” alt=”Nikkon Dummy”/>

And all your alt bugs are gone ….

oh and by the way .. resolution of 1200 x 440 is great for the slides , it will fill out properly @ the default settings

Create a post catagory , ‘slides’ for example (and remember the ID of your slides catagory)
Create a post , and make sure you set the featured image (that will be the picture used in the frontpage slider) and set the slides catagory you just created.

Next : in your theme setup choose slider , set it to default slider and fill out the post catagory that contains your slider images…

voila it works ….

You can make several posts as long as they are the proper catagory and contain the featured image …

BTW i changed the transition time and the displaytime , that you do need to changbe in the theme , the rest is configurable through GUI ..
