Hi if anyone else reads this I want to clearify that indeed it seems I did not have to “verify” my site again.. But!
This is important!: No user data from my site was being read or analyzed by Google Analytics after deleting AIOSEO, until I added the Googles UA-code back again on my site, thru another plugin! Maybe obvious, but just so you know.
(No problem for me, since the analytics was just “down” a couple of days.)

I will try it out for a couple of weeks to see everything is working (but it already seems like it does) and then come back with a review.

Hmm… I have googled a lot and everybody so far says it so easy, just add this code (with small variations). I know how to use PHP snippet plugin, so I was hoping to not have to add an extra plugin.

Just wanted to be sure I was using an up to date code, modified for Gutenberg and a responsive world 2021.

But as you say, this goes many years back and I find it hard to know if it is still relevant today, or if things have changed but people are lazy or non tech (like me) and still repeat the same old code…

(My plan was to do a clean install of everything, but images and multilanguage gave me problem, so in the end I had to bulk move everything. So now I will have to clean up things after the move instead…)

If anyone wants to now I will use Polylang and hope the plugin has a long and great future…

Yes, Firebug seems like a must have for many reasons.

Could you please tell me in a few more words, what you mean I should do, and most important where, to achive what I want? Should I change this code for the post or the category or the page or…? It is important that I don′t change this for every category, just for my “portfolio” items.

(I am yet another one of those new beginners…)
