Ok just found out its a conflict with this post date plugin

Post date allows you to schedule posts to post only on certain days. This way you can space out posts.

To let it do that, only posts set as drafts will be scheduled. Those not as drafts, will not be scheduled unless you do it yourself manually.

So i think the bug is somwhere along these lines :{

You cannot view the author post unless u click on a post link first. It won’t show up otherwise.

I’m ok with that but i wonder if you can also make it show on main pages as well ??

A. To hide these from other roles, you will need to edit the plugin in a plain text editor and make the following changes:

Support for removing other admin menu links has been removed from this version (see response to question above).

Just read it. But apparently the new WP Hide Dashboard version 2.1 doesn’t support removing for other groups besides subscriber.

I’m getting a problem that

i disabled the “do not recycle previous passwords”.

However when recovering password, and entering a password it says cannot reuse even though it isn’t even the same.

Also even if it was, it shouldn’t matter since i disabled that “do not recycle previous passwords”

Any ideas how to fix this ?

Anyways i will try your suggestion temporary, since i only need a template what my site looks like.

*checked the video again but it did not show how exactly to set 755 and 644 in one shot :{

I did try recursive, but it set everything even files as 755. The only way i could do it was set everything 755, then set all the files by browsing per folder and sub folder and changing the files to 644 manually :{ still lots to do.

Hopefully you make some break through on the permission rights.

Anyway, i noticed one hicup when i duplicated. My side bar on the right, got pushed down to the bottom of my page. Why is that ? I thought it was an exact duplicate, so why would the dupe site show that behaviour ?

Think you could take a peek using teamviewer and see whats up :d ?

Other hiccups, was dbmanager says folder permission rights incorrect. Couldn’t really fix that even after i set the permission rights to 755 :/

Anyway i did test that the duplicate at least works, putting aside the permission rights issue.

However my widget side bar got pushed to the bottom, no idea why.

I managed to access the web site as normal by changing permission rights.

Apparently the installer does not retain the permission rights :{

Any chance the duplicator plugin can retain permission rights in the future ? It’s very very tedious to change permission rights for thousands of files :{

That totally fixed it. by changing line 118 with the solution you posted.

So when i click register, and click show terms of usage, it goes to the term of use page i had set correctly this time, rather than a error page not found as before.

Hm …. just something i noticed.

When you click term of use, it ticks it …. why not have that pop up as a frame or a new windows rather than open in existing ?

Just a thought :/

Also is there any easier way to add a term of service to the bottom of the web site ?

I’m very very very… very……very surprised why wordpress decided to remove the next page quick tag from the WYSIWYG editor.

That is a most commonly used tag i would think :/

yes i also noticed when you click on the widget thingy it straight away downloads instead of going to the page.

But at least if you set the min-level required, they can’t immediately download. So i guess it works out fine ??
