    here’s a weird thing. in order to get my store page to work, i had to change the page slug to “shop”, instead of “store”. i have NO idea WHY, considering i do not have any other pages, files, or directories in my web space that are named “store”. but for some reason, wp didn’t like it.

    if you’re getting a blank page or 404, maybe give that a shot?

    hmmm… i wonder if that theme works a little differently because of the “blocks” it uses? my archive.php and links.php files have always been in the theme folder (not a sub of that.)

    sorry for thinking aloud. was hoping i could help, but the blocks subfolder is throwing me a bit.

    the theme looks really cool though! i’ve never seen that one before.

    it sounds like the page template option isn’t showing up beecause only your theme’s default template is available for choosing… in which case, the page template you uploaded isn’t in the right directory.

    make sure you put it into your theme directory and not the wp install directory.

    for example, mine is in:
    my url/wp-content/themes/mytheme/

    if you uploaded your template.php file (or whatever you named it) into the theme directory, you should be able to see the page template drop-down on the write>page page… also you should be able to see it in the list on the right of the presentation>theme editor page.

    i hope this helps! ??

    that’s weird. you don’t have the pull-down menu like this?

    i finally got it to work, though it took a good deal of fiddling around with things!

    my site
    store page

    everyone else may already know this, but as it was my first time to create a custom template, be sure that the page template includes this code at the top, or else it will not show up in your list of page templates to choose from:

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: Snarfer
    */
    ?>

    (change Snarfer to the name of your template file)

    cool! did you use an iframe to do that? i’m trying to do pretty much the exact same thing, but my store page goes boom. lol

    it was an easy fix. i just replaced the following files with fresh copies from the latest wp pkg:

    wp-rss.php
    wp-rss2.php
    wp-feed.php

    silicone, i’m not sure how to answer your question, but you might have better luck starting a new thread about search engine optimization?

    hmmm, yeah i am getting some sort of opml error too when i try to validate the feeds. i’m not sure why they’re not using rss/rss2.

    this was actually happening before i installed the plugin i mentioned. i’ve been trying to figure it out for a couple of days and installed the plugin to see if it made any difference. haha

    i’ll keep researching and check our your feed’s code, thanks for the input.

    i think it looks great and concur w/spencer on color combo and layout. in fact, it looks a lot sharper than many current baby/pregnancy sites – some of them are really lacking in cohesive design and navigation. (i’ve frequented lots of them, as i have a 10-month-old and 22-month-old. lol) good job!

    i have sites at godaddy and hostrocket. i pay like 4 bucks a month @ godaddy, so i assume that’s the economy pkg? at any rate, i am using linux hosting there and have had no problems installing and running wp.
