In reply to: [Social Count Plus] Soundcloud and Youtube at 0I think i figured out the Youtube one. I had to go to youtube advanced settings on youtube.com and switch from “Do not display the number of people subscribed to my channel” to the other one. But soundcloud still wont work.
Did you find a solution? We are having the same issue!
So, for anyone having the issue described above where it seems you are getting errors about “User ID # can’t autopost”, here’s a method that worked for me. Previously I had the SNAP setting “Who can see auto-posting options on the “New Post” pages”” to only be Administrator and Editor. I’ve now enabled everyone but, to stop people from actually seeing the box and editing it, I installed the plugin Adminimize which lets you configure the admin meta boxes. In Adminimize look under “Write options – Post” and at the bottom of that section you’ll see “Your own post options ID or class”. In the left box you can name it whatever but i called it “snap” and in the right box you need to put the div-id of the meta box you want to hide. In this case it was “NS_SNAP_AddPostMetaTags”. So in the right box i put: #url2featured, url2featured. Click “update options” then scroll back down to “Write Options – Post” and put a check mark in all the users that you want the box to be hidden for. Update options again.
I Just tested it and now my Contributors don’t see the meta box so they can’t edit the tweet/facebook posts but my editors/administrators can and when they click “Publish”, everything is auto published!
Some of you may still want contributors and others to be able to edit/see the SNAP meta box but this is for those of you that don’t want them to see it yet you still want the post to be tweeted or at least have editors/administrators decide when they ediit/publish.
For now I’m going to try enabling the meta box for contributors but use another plugin to hide the meta box for contributors.
Well I have 25 transient contributors so I want their content to auto post when published, by my editors, but I don’t want the contributors to be able to change what the tweet/auto post structure is. I don’t want them to accidently change %title% to “I hate everyone”.
Any luck?
I have 25 Contributors and a few Editors. Do i need to have Contributors checked under “Who can see auto-posting options on the “New Post” pages?” in order for posts they submit to be auto-tweeted? Currently i only have Administrator and Editor checked under “Who can see auto-posting options on the “New Post” pages?” but that’s because I dont want people with lesser rights to be able to modify the structure of the tweets.
I’m having the same issue as everyone. If i click “Publish” on a post, the auto tweet doesn’t happen. If i go back and edit the post and click “Repost to Twitter” it works fine. Also if i check the logs, after the initial time i published the article i see:
