Take a look at TheEventsCalendar. We have had a great experience builing numerous tools of this kind using it.

It’s not really a good idea to do that as a changed display name could hide the real username being changed. It’s imperative to use the actual username for security reasons. That being said, you can add this to extend the email by the field desired:

Your best shot is to contact the hosting company via https://mediatemple.net/support and explain the situation.

What web browser do you use? Some of them have built in tracking protection. Maybe check your browser’s settings for this. If you’re on a VPN this might also utilize filters like this.

If you can enter the database (phomyadmin) you can simply change the value there.
As for the email never arriving, try installing this plugin and leaving it on all its default settings:

Some hosts require this so the emails are properly relayed.

Whatever you do now, if you don’t have a backup now, absolutely do one before you try any of the below. Updraftplus happens to work well for me but any full backup will do.

If you’ve really overwritten the entire wp content directory then you’ll have to:

a) restore a known-to-be-working backup OF THAT DIRECTORY

If that doesn’t work, restore a full backup next.
Or if you don’t have any backups then you’d need to:

b) Recreate that directory manually by installing everything again.If you’re lucky it’s all still in the database and MAY work fine once all files in that directory are back in place (so plugins and themes may run properly.) It’s always worth a try.
