When someone adds code, and that code is changed, that is a serious transgression. When you add code to your site, you trust that no one’s going to change that code. If some algrorithm changes that code, there is plenty of room for rage. When I create code to make things right, I expect that no one is trying to thwart what I’m trying to accomplish. I just want people to experience the arts. I don’t want to find out later that I’ve experienced something that is so removed from the arts that i’M NOT WORTH TALKING TO. Captslock off. WordPress has proven itself as an entity that does not care whether people can controll their own websites. They have proven that when someone uses WordPress, then they are not allowed to add cod, even a simple share button. You suck. I apologize for saying that, but you are completely incompetent. No code works. Sorry.

Andrew, thank you for speaking out. I feel very insulted for not having the privilege for doing the most basic things with MY website. There is something seriously wrong here. I love you, but there is something seriously wrong when people can’t develop their own sites. I hope you understand.

When I add code to my own website, I know what I’m doing. You think you know better than I do? I feel sorry for you. That is arrogant beyond belief.

In other words, what is wrong with you people? A simple share button not allowed? A simple Paypal button not allowed? Who do you think you are?

If not allowing code is a feature, what the hell are you people doing? Adding code to a site, even for a simple button, is essential. I don’t like to call anyone stupid, but are you people really that stupid?

It seems like it could make a difference in response time between no www and www, things like that. Not exactly sure about trailing slash. You can try it in various web page load speed tools.

Jon W, it’s looking more and more like search engines are becoming increasingly smart about that stuff. I’m just using trailing slashes for that stuff. The search algorithms are evolving a lot. In some cases, I looked at page rank, one small ranking factor, with and without the trailing slash, and found them to be the same in Google.

The developer of Autoptimize suggested the following and his first suggestion worked like a charm. The url is tsunamionthesquare.com in case more context is needed for random Googlers.

“I would add this to the JS exclude-field;
jquery.js, window.hc_, hc_shortcode_connector, hybridconnect”

“You could also try with the “look only in head” and “force in head” options.”

Whoops. That was the wrong .js url. I added the url for the Facebook .js file because that’s HC script.

It’s not too private, as long as Google doesn’t find out about it yet. It’s tsunamionthesquare.com. To the exclude field, I tried adding things like hc_ and https://theabovementionedwebsite.com/wp-includes/js/admin-bar.min.js, hc_shortcode_connector and other things, but no dice. The forms still disappear. Thanks.

OK. I looked at the FAQ, and it says things about excluding files like example.js. There were none of those, just long strings of code beginning with “<script>” and ending in </script>. Do I just copy and paste all that code into the exclude field? Thanks.
