In reply to: My new movie review websiteThanks guys, glad you like the reviews.
@boyevul Lord knows what’s happened to my RSS feed. It was working last time I checked, now it seems to be knackered. ??

In reply to: My new movie review websiteThanks for the feedback, DomainStick. Much appreciated, and an interesting post. I’ve got to admit, I’m in two minds about the grey sidebar myself, but couldn’t seem to find the “right” colour when changing the look. I suppose I could give the widgets themselves a bigger splash of colour, red maybe, which would fit with the suggestion of putting the tags in the sidebar.
Some food for thought, definitely. No doubt there’ll be more changes to the look down the road. ??

In reply to: My new movie review websiteWell, I rejigged my website with the addition of an extra column. Let me know what you think. ??

Actually, there is one thing that’s kind of bugging me, that I can’t get to the bottom of. When I’m logged in, the bottom margin of the website is 0px as it should be. But when I’m logged out, a small 3 or 4 pixel margin seems to get created just underneath the green footer.
I can’t figure out why this extra margin appears.

In reply to: Can't delete a commentDone, and done. I found the pending comment in the wp_comments table and deleted it via phpmyadmin. Everything’s back to normal now.
Thanks for the help, kmessinger.

In reply to: Can't delete a commentNope, that’s the thing. No post has the comment. It’s not attached to any posts in my blog. I’m baffled.

In reply to: Can't delete a commentJust mousing over an unapproved comment itself brings up,
Approve|Reply|Quick Edit|Edit|Spam|TrashMousing over the comment doesn’t bring that up either. It works for every other comment, but not for this one rogue comment.

In reply to: Can't delete a commentYep, it’s just the one comment. All other comments since then have a tick box next to them.
My website URL is https://bananasaboutmovies.com

In reply to: Can't delete a commentI deleted the whole of the wp-admin folder, and reuploaded it from a fresh WP download.
I’ve still got the same problem, unfortunately.
Here’s a couple of pics to illustrate what I mean, just to avoid any confusion. First picture shows a comment with a tick box, the second without.

In reply to: Can't delete a commentJavascript doesn’t seem to be the issue. One thing I’ve noticed, is that it’s actually a test comment back from when I started my website. And it’s not actually attached to a post. Could that be causing the problem?
Not sure how I missed deleting it in the first place, to be honest.

In reply to: Admin page has "crashed" – WP-Stats to blame?Apologies. I did do a search, but must have missed it.

In reply to: Neat and Compact DesignHow come I see WordPress sites, like yours, that don’t have a WordPress credit on them? Is that allowed?

In reply to: Blank plugin page – Akismet and WordPress.com stats the problem?A bit late to give my thanks, but the topic linked above really helped. Turns out my webhost’s PHP memory limit was set quite low to 8M. Increased it in a .htaccess file, and blank pages have become a thing of the past. ??

In reply to: Carrying Over Most Popular Posts Unethical? If it’s the exact same website, but shifting from wordpress.com to self-hosted, I don’t see a problem with it. It’s your content, after all.
