Thanks for the feedback, DomainStick. Much appreciated, and an interesting post. I’ve got to admit, I’m in two minds about the grey sidebar myself, but couldn’t seem to find the “right” colour when changing the look. I suppose I could give the widgets themselves a bigger splash of colour, red maybe, which would fit with the suggestion of putting the tags in the sidebar.

Some food for thought, definitely. No doubt there’ll be more changes to the look down the road. ??

Actually, there is one thing that’s kind of bugging me, that I can’t get to the bottom of. When I’m logged in, the bottom margin of the website is 0px as it should be. But when I’m logged out, a small 3 or 4 pixel margin seems to get created just underneath the green footer.

I can’t figure out why this extra margin appears.

Done, and done. I found the pending comment in the wp_comments table and deleted it via phpmyadmin. Everything’s back to normal now.

Nope, that’s the thing. No post has the comment. It’s not attached to any posts in my blog. I’m baffled.

Just mousing over an unapproved comment itself brings up,
Approve|Reply|Quick Edit|Edit|Spam|Trash

Mousing over the comment doesn’t bring that up either. It works for every other comment, but not for this one rogue comment.

Yep, it’s just the one comment. All other comments since then have a tick box next to them.

I deleted the whole of the wp-admin folder, and reuploaded it from a fresh WP download.

I’ve still got the same problem, unfortunately.

Javascript doesn’t seem to be the issue. One thing I’ve noticed, is that it’s actually a test comment back from when I started my website. And it’s not actually attached to a post. Could that be causing the problem?

Not sure how I missed deleting it in the first place, to be honest.

How come I see WordPress sites, like yours, that don’t have a WordPress credit on them? Is that allowed?

A bit late to give my thanks, but the topic linked above really helped. Turns out my webhost’s PHP memory limit was set quite low to 8M. Increased it in a .htaccess file, and blank pages have become a thing of the past. ??

If it’s the exact same website, but shifting from wordpress.com to self-hosted, I don’t see a problem with it. It’s your content, after all.
