And actually, the “search” statement only affects the hard-coded “Home” page.

If you go to my link the first thing you see is the Home page. If you click on “About” on the menu, you will go to my website.

I donot want the “Home” page and I have read/tried everything to get rid of it, with no luck.

I have my website marked “private” because I can’t publish it the way it is. And now I can’t get to the parent templates in the child theme.

So, if anyone can tell me, step-by-step, how to get rid of the Home page and get the templates into the child theme I would really appreciate it.

I found it… I changed the name of the child style.css from:

Style.css

to

style.css

I tried the following changes to bring in the CSS from the parent but it still doesn’t work. Here’s what my new CSS looks like:

I have tried deleting the page, but that didn’t do anything to the menu.

unfortunately I am not seeing what you are referring too. If you don’t mind, would you let me email a “snagit” picture of the WP Page that I am have in front of me, just so that you can see that the “edit” option is not there?

Well atchymyth, I have spent the better part of 3 hours trying to find the “page attributes’ with no success. I am totally exhausted and I am not going to try any more. I have read so many suggestions and i have tried so many searches, with no avail.

I cannot even find on the dashboard, where the page parents drop down tab is…. I feel really dumb… it can’t be this hard?

Anyway, I thank you for your help, sorry I couldn’t fix my problem, but at this point I am going to hire someone to fix this for me and then just not create anything with WP any more.

My Child theme comes up when I go to my website, however when I click one of the menu items, the site go immediately over to the parent.

How do i stop this?

I have uploaded my picture, in their own file, under Pictures,on my domain .

I have WP installed on my domain.
I have imported my website onto my domain.

What I need to do is to “link/connect” my pictures from the Pictures file, on my domain, to the correct pages, on my website, on the same domain.

Can someone tell me how to do this?

When I uploaded the website am I suppose to see it when I log onto the site?

All of the media files in the website did not upload and Failed…

I thought that the entire format and pages would be uploaded …
