@blueprintmarketing,Google PageSpeed module does a better job than this plugin. I dont have access to install an Apache module so, I use this one to reduce the http requests and minify the scripts.

It does not relate to this plugin particularly. But you can use following snippet to add a css class to body tag of your page and then use it to hide the slider

You can change the z-index (may be 1000) of menus to make them appear on top of slideshow.
