Why not just make it easy for users of your plugin to remove the thank you line from the bottom of the dashboard? Why force them to display it or create a plugin to hide it?

It looks right and I cut and pasted it exactly as you have it to the bottom of the functions.php file but I still receive the error message, what am I doing wrong?

Adding your code broke my functions.php file with the error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_filter()

Are you sure this is correct code?
