Clicking on links seems to have no effect, though I am not sure what you mean by “browser console open” – I’d like to show you any Javascipt errors, but not sure how

I tried this using FTP, but sadly there was no effect. Asthis problem ocurred immediately after I updated Plugins , I felt sure this was the reason.

I notice in the /wp-content/ directory there is a folder called /mu-plugins/ with a single PHP file called automation-by-installatron.php. Would this need to be disabled too?

Otherwise, I have no other clue to work with…
