In reply to: Moving blog url creating some redirection issuesActually I just made things worse.
I changed the WordPress URL in settings to https://domainname.com (instead of https://domainname.com/blog) and now I can’t log in to the admin console

In reply to: Template loader issueI uploaded the version from my last backup and that worked. Any idea what could have happened?

In reply to: Template loader issueJust from looking at it, it seems to be a feedburner related issue … since my feedburner feed gives the same error
Note that I have not updated my wordpress to 2.1

In reply to: Permission change results in errorsI saw the errors posted in my originals after I changed permissions and went into my WP dashboard to see if the files were still editable. I didn’t see the files anymore, just the error. Anyway, thanks to some of the suggestions above, everything is in order and I can edit files at the backend if I wanted to.

In reply to: Permission change results in errorsLet me clarify – I was not changing any of the files in my wordpress themes (I always edit local copies). I noticed the “if this file were writable” message, which did not show up on my previous host, so decided to change the permissions.
The permissions were changed recursively (chmod -R), so they should have propagated to all the files.
What I would like to understand is the source of the errors that I noticed.

In reply to: Moving to a new hostHandy
Killing the Yahoo specific plugins seemed to have done the trick. I still have some issues (probably permission related), but at least the blog is running now.
Thanks
