Hi.
We officially recommend Sucuri’s Firewall in combination with iThemes Security, which is a paid service. Sucuri can also help if your site has been hacked.
Thanks,
Matt
iThemes.comHi,
That is good to know. You can also set up reCAPTCHA through iThemes Security Pro if you would like to have both features. Here’s a link with more information on how to set up reCAPTCAHA with Security Pro.
Thanks,
Matt
iThemes.comHi,
Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent attacks from occurring on your site. The important thing is to prevent the attack from being successful.
The Hide Backend feature is a great extra layer of security through obscurity, but it isn’t bulletproof. I would suggest relying on stronger features like two-factor authentication, enabling reCAPTCHA and refuse compromised passwords to secure your login. I have added some links below that will give some more information on the listed features.

I hope this helps!

iThemes.comHi,
This sounds like you may want to check for a conflict. Here’s a link that details how to go about that step.

iThemes.comHi,
The Lockout Notifications mean that the plugin is helping prevent attacks on your site, by keeping out unauthorized users trying to guess usernames and passwords.
You can disable the Lockout Notifications and enable the Security Digest in the Notification Center settings. The Security Digest reduces the number of emails sent so you can receive a summary of lockouts, file change detection scans, and privilege escalations. You can set these notifications to be sent daily or weekly.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Matt
