The blog you have linked to is on WordPress.com (the online web-based service), not a self-hosted blog on WordPress.org.
So back to my original point.

I think the key word here is “similar”.
I don’t see the ‘Like’ facility either, and it’s not mentioned in the Jetpack plugin ‘Sharing’ description either. Unfortunately they then link to the WordPress.com video which talks about it.
So it looks like the ‘Like’ functionality is not available with the self-hosted plugin.

Yes, I have the same problem. The new feature seems to have broken the old ones.

I have the link set to ‘full size photo in a slideshow’, but it no longer works:
