Have one to recommend?

New version still opens in same window.

It seems to be caused by themes that aren’t “3.8 ready”. Not sure what 3.8 did, but it broke a lot of theme compatability, that’s for sure.

This is a fresh install of 3.8 with the default theme – hence the “usual issues’ not being applicable. >< Any other ideas?

Another problem: about 50% of the time when I create/edit a Post or Page, none of the formatting buttons exist, and the text is white (so I can’t see it without highlighting).

Never seen these issues in all my years of using WordPress! I know WordPress is *always* buggy, but man, 3.8 is just not good ><

Flare seriously needs a control panel to edit this. I’ve tried the sidebar on a half dozen sites, and it hasn’t worked right on a single one. Half the time, it’s not fixable even after editing the CSS.

Can someone link me to the old version?

I changed:

.flare-vertical {
position: fixed;
overflow: visible;
z-index: 100;
top: 40px;
display: block;
padding: 10px;
border-radius: 4px;
width: 40px;

to:

.flare-vertical {
position: fixed;
overflow: visible;
z-index: 100;
top: 180px;
display: block;
padding: 10px;
border-radius: 4px;
width: 40px;

But not visible change occurred, and the sidebar hasn’t change it’s vertical offset. Ideas?

NM it’s working ??

Hmm, it’s not working on any of my WordPress blogs, regardless of theme. I’m guessing the plugin has an issue with 3.3.2?
