In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Accessing document categories (type)It’s happened again.
The number of Research Grants is one less than correct – and is accompanied by an error message:
see below

In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Citation truncated when using cslThe document is identified as a “Journal Article”
Seems like the correct thing – the apa fails with the zotero style file – and used to fail with the one supplied with the plugin… but I have not tried that one with the updated plugin.

In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Accessing document categories (type)At a quick glance, it seems to be back to normal – the correct number of items is now being displayed – so it all looks good. I will keep experimenting and let you know if there is a problem. Please let me say, though, how much I have appreciated your efforts to make this work correctly.

In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Accessing document categories (type)Hello again.
yes I added the extra information in the printout. I will remove it in due course.
As for (a) please see below.
Thank You!
As for the items which are short of 1 the output is quite consistent (it ran correctly in previous versions)
Tag Research_grants returns 1 but should be 2
Tag Keynote returns 4 but should be 5
Tag Invited returns 4 but should be 5.For the keynote TAG, here are the listings in Mendeley on the Web. All are Mendeley type “Conference Proceedings”. At the end of this message I have copied the requests – they worked with the older version of the plugin.

In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Citation truncated when using cslUnfortunately – that does not work either.
Page numbers are not added and some parts of the text are truncated. Here is an example:
On Mendeley it says:
Factors affecting the normalization of CALL in Chinese senior high schools
Bi He, Nattaya Puakpong, Andrew-Peter Lian (2013)
Computer Assisted Language Learning (June 2013) p. 1-13
https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/09588221.2013….
refereed_articleIn the plugin it says:
He, B., Puakpong, N., & Lian, A. -P. (2013). Factors affecting the normalization of CALL in Chinese senior high schools. doi:10.1080/09588221.2013.803981
In this case, no page numbers.
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Accessing document categories (type)Hello I have updated to 0.8.5.
Much better but some problems persist as follows:
(a)Where I have small numbers of items e.g 2 research grants or 5 keynotes, the plugin returns 1 less i.e. 1 and 4 respectively.
(b) Where I have large number of items, e.g. refereed publications, the plugin returns a maximum of 10. It does not matter whether the search is in upper or lower case and it does not matter whether the search term is exact or partial (e.g Refereed_article or refereed). It feels like the plugin is only picking up 10 items.
Hope that helps, but it is almost ok now. I have turned on the debug codes and indicated the search term in the coloured line
Thanks for all your work.
Andrew

In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Accessing document categories (type)Thank you for the update to 0.8.3 – unfortunately the behaviour remains unchanged. I have removed the caching and also renewed the tokens.
Below is some additional information (including my URL).

In reply to: [Mendeley Plugin] Accessing document categories (type)Hello again and thank you for making the change. Ihave just upgraded the plugin automatically.
Little problem though… I seem to be able to filter on document type, e.g. filter=”type=Book” but all my old filters using TAGs e.g. filter=”tag=Book” no longer work and my entire listing is blank (because I was using tags for everything).
I have tried adding a ‘;’ at the end of the filter statement but to no avail.
Any suggestions welcome.

In reply to: [FB LinkedIn Resume] Problem with default prefix of URLHello again and thanks so much for all of your trouble in trying to help me. That is so nice!
Unfortunately, the new file does not work although the detailed diagnostic message has disappeared.
For your information, I have found one other plugin that does work although I really do not like it as much as yours. It relies on the explicit generation of Linkedin Access Tokens. I do not know if this is relevant in your case, but it may be. I thought that you might like to know…
grazie tanto
Andrew

In reply to: [FB LinkedIn Resume] Problem with default prefix of URLOnce or twice out of many attempts, the profile has appeared correctly – which leads me to believe that it has something to do with how the data is retrieved from Linkedin.
