The php_fileinfo extension might be disabled in your PHP configuration settings. This is enabled by default normally. You can enable this setting in your DirectAdmin/cPanel environment, or you could ask your hosting.

There are some javascript errors present on your site. You can see this when you inspect the elements in your browser (right mouse-> inspect elements). This seems to be related to the Autoptimize plugin. Try to resolve these errors or disable this plugin to see if this resolves your problem.

It is not possible to use our plugin in such a way. The download is only made available via email, in order to keep the quality of the subscribers list as high as possible.

If you want to offer an extra download file without the subscriber having to fill in a download form again, you could create a .zip file with both download files in it.

We do indeed use classes with !important to guarantee the same layout in the many different themes that exist. Other ways were found to be insufficient. We only do this on the HTML generated by our plugin, so that it has no influence on the code of your theme or the code of other plugins.

You can overwrite the CSS by using the exact same selector and by using !important values. You can place your custom CSS in your stylesheet of your (child) theme.

Yes this is possible. While creating / updating a download (form), a metabox is available to copy the settings of another download.

That’s right, the subscribe and download form is protected against excessive / unauthorized use. A visitor can receive a download link by email once per download file. A second time a message will appear stating that an email has already been sent with the download link. If it is necessary for a subscriber to use the form again, you can remove the subscriber from the subscribers log.

I was unable to test your download form because it was no longer present on your test page. If it is still needed, please let us know.

You could see if it conflicts with another plugin (or your theme). Disable them one by one to see if your problem has been solved.

You could create an unlinked test page so that visitors do not end up on this page.

Yes, all notification messages are translatable including the email message, if you have left them blank during saving (admin menu-> downloads-> messages).
If you want to change the default English messages, you may want to create a custom .mo file to achieve this.

You are welcome. There are two tables that can be exported and combined:

1) You can export data related to the download links with columns such as Subscriber ID, File Name, and IP Address.
2) You can also export subscriber data with columns such as Subscriber ID, Email, and the form fields that you created (eg First Name).

Hi,

Our plugin uses the wp_mail() (WordPress core) function to send the emails. Not receiving emails can often be related to your web host. You may want to check your SPAM folder before taking the following steps.

The first thing you could check is whether the email is sent. A handy plugin for this is WP Mail Logging plugin. If no email is sent there is probably a conflict with another plugin or your theme.

If an email is sent but not received, check that the From Name and From Email are set correctly (admin menu-> downloads-> messages). Make sure that From Name does not contain special characters and for From Email use an email address attached to your own domain. Some servers may require a mail user account has been created with this email address.

If there are still issues with receiving emails, then there is probably a problem with your host’s email server. You could use a dedicated SMTP provider to send the emails, so that emails are no longer sent by your own server.

When exporting the subscribers, can you sort by which download they’ve clicked on?

No, this is not possible. You could open the .CSV file in a program like Microsoft Excel and then filter or sort the data.

Can you copy any paste an already made “download”?

Yes, you can duplicate the settings of an existing download when you are making/editing a download.

Hotmail is picking the email up as Junk, is there a way to fix this?

If e-mails end up in your SPAM folder, this is probably because the IP address of your host is blacklisted. Maybe other users are spamming from the same IP address. You can present the problem to your web host or you can use an mail sending service instead of your own server (like SendGrid) to work around this problem. This can be used in conjunction with a plugin like WP Mail SMTP.

Can the email title be customised to be named depending on the download?

With the next update we will add a new placeholder (the download file name) for use in the email content and in the email subject.
