Hi t-p, thanks for the suggestion. I’ll certainly ask the question at SiteOrigin, but half of my query really just relates to a fixed footer on one page. I don’t want it to be fixed on any other page. I thought this was more of a general WordPress issue. If I can target the footer with the correct CSS on the page in question, I’m hoping I can figure the rest out by myself.

    Hi,

@pioneer Web Design – yes you will have to submit the form to see the issue. I’m actually not sure how to create an exact duplicate of the page as it’s generated automatically by the contact form plugin. I also need to be able to target the correct elements as I think this is where I might be having problems, so troubleshooting the ‘live’ page might be a better option. If it’s a simple process to recreate a static page based on the one that’s automatically created, and then target the original elements, some guidance would be greatly appreciated.

@t-p The Site Origin Widgets Bundle does have a contact form widget but it’s not activated by default so you need to activate it first. Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets

UPDATE : I just tried again and I’m getting a server error when I hit SEND so couldn’t actually get as far as the “Thank You! We’ll Get Back to You Shortly” page. This seems to be an intermittent error and I’m currently talking to my hosting provider about it. Please let me know if you have the same issue.

    Thanks for your replies ??

I’m just using the default Twenty Fifteen theme…with the Envira gallery plugin

Hi Noebie, no I haven’t resolved it yet. Just to clarify – once all the images have loaded properly the page looks fine, but as there are quite a few images on each page it can take some time on slower connections (like mine). During this load time, the background is white. If your connection is fast you may only notice it for a split second. Ideally I’d like the images to load over a grey background, not a white one.

Ah. Sorry Andrew. I didn’t realize that. I was tesing it by resizing my browser window. It all appears to be working fine now. I just tried it on my phone and no lightbox ?? Thank you so much.

Hi Andrew, thanks again for your efforts. I really do appreciate it. I’ve tried the new code with both of the aforementioned plugins but it still isn’t working. Curiously, the first time I refresh my site after saving the code, Lightbox is disabled for ALL screen resolutions – if I refresh a second time, it comes back for all screen sizes. No errors in the Chrome console though.

Hi Andrew. Thanks again. Getting that syntax error in the Chrome console made me think that copying and pasting the code might have introduced an error.

I re-typed the code by hand and the error has disappeared. However, it still doesn’t work. I also tried adding the code in to the console window as you suggested but similarly I’m still getting the lightbox option at smaller resolutions.

Hi Andrew, I couldn’t get that one to work either. Can I manually add the code somewhere just to check that it works?

Hi Andrew, thanks for the timely response. I tried all that but still not working…tried each of the shortcode, wp_head and wp_footer options too. Still no joy.

Thanks Andrew. Installed the plugin and added the code. Not quite sure how to implement it though? Do I need to include the shortcode somewhere?

In case anyone else is having this same issue – I was developing this site locally, but when I migrated it to the server the problem was resolved. I’m no expert but I’m assuming it was something to do with the PHP server configuration.

Thanks Josh. I decided not to go with yellow in the end but those selectors worked perfect. Much appreciated ??

Thanks jc32, I appreciate the reply. Looks like an excellent solution. I’ll definitely be using that information in the future – in the meantime, all is now working fine. Big thanks again for the reply.
