ok I zeroed in on the problem. It only occurs when I specify an address in the exempt field. I’ve disabled it and it seems ok. so not sure; I can live with that however:)

I have several plugins installed of course, but could this have something to do with changed secret keys or the plugin wordfence?

thanks webbadger, I asked the host to revert all of my sites to yesterdays backup. after that it’s changing the logins, login names, sqls passwords and secret keys….

I think I’ll install the extensions you’ve posted as well, just for good measure. really thought, this look like a hosting issue/vulnerability… I wonder what they will come back with

Hey I got the same thing. At least 2 of my wordpress websites changed to Chereckt…. I’m based in the UK. This happened yesterday. This can’t be right….. This could have been done by one hacker?

Why change the admin account name and password but not the email? this doesn’t make any sense.
