In reply to: Changing featured image using image sourceI tried what was said and its not exactly what I need. I would like to upload the picture to my static homepage. Just inserting the image will put it in a post not replace the featured image, which is what I am trying to do. There is a place under appearance -> theme options -> home page -> featured content, that I can plug in the image source that will change the featured image, but I am just not sure what to plug in.

What should i do next to try and start using wordpress? I have tried to log into the pHpMyAdmin but it keeps saying that the password is wrong. How do I get this password because I thought it was the same one used in the setup process?

I am brand new to WordPress and the website design world but I know that in time I can make a good website. This may sound dumb, but I haven’t really started yet because I am afraid of buying a domain and hosting and then not being able to make the site. I don’t really have any money to pay someone to make the website that I am looking for so I figured that I would just make it myself.
