In reply to: Tiga theme keeps reverting to default settings. Why? Help PleaseThe Tiga widgets don’t work. Somebody wrote a fix here: https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/523651
Go to your “Theme Editor” under the Presentation tab in the WP dashboard. Select sidebar.php, and replace the code there with the code from the above link. Wallah!
EXCEPT, Tiga’s blogroll/links function still doesn’t work. I’m still waiting for a reply on that.
Too bad these BASIC functions don’t work in this otherwise fabulous theme!

In reply to: Links from the Links ManagerAmazing how this problem hasn’t been solved yet. I’m running WP 2.3.1 and just installed Tiga. After finding a great solution to the fact that Tiga’s widgets don’t work (go here for the easy fix: https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/523651), now the blogroll doesn’t show up. Sigh.

In reply to: Tiga 1.0.2 Not Showing Widgets In WP 2,2I’m using WP 2.3.1 and Otto’s fixed just worked for me, too.
BUT, the “link” widget isn’t displaying my blogroll. My site is here in case anybody wants to see: https://www.mistressemilie.com/submit The blogroll should be on the bottom left. Thanks for any advice.
PS. My blog content is about S&M and fetish stuff so if that offends you, don’t look.

In reply to: How to add a warning page or squeeze page?Viola, sure, unless you’ve uploaded images whose links would need to be renamed in every single post because you moved all the content into a new directory. Is there another way?

In reply to: Static Page Template File?I’ve been wracking my own brain trying to find the answer myself. Supposedly you can, but nobody will tell me HOW. The “Create a Static Front Page” tutorial is indeed outdated, not to mention jumbled and not explained very well.

In reply to: Yet another navbar issueI’m having the same problem. Downloading plug-ins with super-duper functions which are all irrelevant to what I want to do: Make the parent pages on my navigation bar (HemingwayEx theme) drop down into their child pages.
Any css code I can add for this?

In reply to: IE 7 ignores my theme template!Duh! I fixed my IE viewing problem. Seems I left out a little ” mark on the CSS. Firefox didn’t mind, but IE is really picky about those things!

In reply to: Cannot delete wp-content/cacheAfter posting my question here, I sent e-mail to DreamHost support about this. They replied in about 10 minutes saying “no problem,” and deleted that file for me. I think it must happen often.

In reply to: Where is my site? This is good to know, considering I just signed up for DreamHost last night.

In reply to: Cannot delete wp-content/cacheAny advice for a DreamHost user? I’m using their web-based FTP called net2ftp. There’s no option to “view hidden files” and I’ve changed permissions to allow “read, write, excute” but am still unable to delete that file. The culprit is a file called “advanced-cache.php -> plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php” if that means anything…
