In reply to: Aligning Images.I added it to my CSS but it didn’t change anything. Perhaps, I put it in the wrong spot. Where should I add this?

In reply to: Aligning Images.Thank you all for your help, but abs totally nailed what I was asking for. My only question now would be…Is it possible to pad the photo or add a border to keep the text from wrapping directly around the photo. You know, some space so that the photo gets a little breathing room, so to speak? This is probably not the easiest method but for me this works great because I totally don’t get the whole CSS thing. But, I’m going to work on that later, after work. For now, Abs method is perfect.

In reply to: Aligning Images. So for instance. I would put this in my css and any photos I add to my posts I should put along with the alt tags an imagefloat tag?

In reply to: Aligning Images.Don’t laugh, but where do I put this code? Yes, I checked the codex and while it looks very useful, it still requires a general knowledge of CSS. Do I just stick this code in the post itself? Or style.css and if I add it to style.css does it change all photos? I’m still confused.

In reply to: Database error?Yes, I’m with dreamhost. They have a one-click install and that’s how I installed it originally. And, I planned on doing it that way again, but I start reading how to upgrade and my eyes glaze over, and I feel like I’m not comprehending anything. I have dinner to get to and then I’m going to give it a shot.
P.S Thank you for helping. ??

In reply to: Database error?Oh gosh! Okay, I’ll give it a shot. Could I upload the new version to another sub-domain and keep this one up temporarily so I don’t lose any entries between? I don’t if I could upgrade or not without losing my posts. Most of them aren’t worth keeping except the ones about my boys.

In reply to: Database error? No, I can’t upgrade! ?? It took me forever to figure out 1.2 and I still haven’t gotten it figured out.
When I hit the update options button it brings me to another area, like permalinks or something. So I clicked on one of those other links and this message came up. You have any idea?

In reply to: Five plugins you can’t live withoutUgh. I guess I can add that to my list as one more thing to make me switch from 1.2 to 1.5. I actually have 1.5 installed on another domain, but I have yet to try to upgrade my other site. I figured if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

In reply to: WP and Meta TagsSo are you saying that essentially I have to disallow them from my site in order to keep my site from being cached? I don’t want to necessarily keep them from crawling my site, just from archiving?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WP and Meta TagsI currently have a robots.txt file uploaded. How would I alter it to include the no archiving bit?

In reply to: WP and Meta TagsThere doesn’t appear to be a beginning head tag and it’s not validating now. Should I just through in a head tag or what? I just know a thing about php.
