In reply to: The name of the database you want to run WP in.When you login to your BlueHost cpanel, click on My SQL Databases, then go from there.
I have bluehost myself and am actually having some issues with WP at the moment. Let me know how you go once you install it and if you can see the WP dashboard.

In reply to: no dashboard when moving WP installHmm… this doesn’t make me happy. WordPress is the only thing I run really… It didn’t restore my site properly either….
I really don’t think that bluehost should be advertised here in the hosting section of the wordpress website if it doesn’t work for people…
I even tried their instant install and that is causing the same problem ??

In reply to: no dashboard when moving WP installand the plot thickens. I restore my database, and when I go to mishku.com nothing shows up. something is very wrong here.
the weird thing is, on my “old” (should I say current) host, I can view everything fine, in every browser?

In reply to: no dashboard when moving WP installjust noticed this – dashboard displays perfectly on my old host, however, my new host (bluehost) doesn’t. could the host have anything to do with this?
I have performed two installations, one manual, in the main domain directory, and one installation via my hosting panel, which is automated, into a sub folder. Neither work…. anyone had this problem?

In reply to: no dashboard when moving WP installI’m almost offended at the question.. ??
Yes, I have…. I have even tried using different browsers such as Opera and Mozilla… and (god forbid) IE.
Nothing has worked,

I have moved WP installs before, I can’t see what I have done wrong.

In reply to: moved domains, new wp installhere is the thing right – I don’t want to move my WP installation. I just want to move the database to a brand new install… the guide keeps referring to moving all the files and folders in my current installation… What I am trying to achieve – is this even possible?

In reply to: moved domains, new wp installforeach ($current_plugins as $plugin) {
maybe it’s because I had some kind of plug in on my old WP install? could that be the problem?

In reply to: moved domains, new wp installyeah I gathered that from my first futile attempt – I thought I could outsmart WP – HOW WRONG I WAS!!!
Then I went back, started again, and followed the tutorial and it also failed and is now giving me this error when I try to go to the website – Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mishkuco/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 113

In reply to: moved domains, new wp installYes I have actually followed that guide… I had two attempts at doing this, the first one failed (due to my own illogical stupidity).
The second attempt was by following that guide and the reason that guide doesn’t help me much is because I don’t want to move my whole blog – only the posts, comments, and categories. Nothing else. Not the layout I currently have, or any of my subpages.
I used that guide a few days ago to move my best friends blog from one sub folder of my domain name to another, and that worked no problem – but moving only posts across seems to be a problem.

In reply to: let viewers chose there own theme…Being annoyed doesn’t give you the right of being rude. There would be one person that is responsible for that plug-in and how do you think it makes everyone else who would be willing to help you, read comments with that kind of undertone… I understand your frustrations, I’m having WP issues of my own right now, but I post here in a courteous manner, and wait until some kind soul answers my dilemmas…

In reply to: let viewers chose there own theme…I can’t help you as I don’t know myself… but just a note, because you seem quite upset.
Please keep in mind most plug-ins are made by people just like you and me (obviously people more technically inclined however, as I couldn’t make a plugin to save my life), who make them for their personal use – and sometimes release it to the wild for our enjoyment.
You are not paying for this plug in, so demanding instructions and such is a little bit over the top.
Everyone here is very helpful, and whoever cries for help has their pleas answered… but maybe a tone down of attitude would be nice, to those who will be willing to help you out.
