I switched the styles and viola! it worked.

But now, my dilema is to make it work with the theme that has been used all this time – how can I restore the comments?

thanks for your comment… however, the problem isn’t with viewing the site or operating WP… it’s actually with the comments only.

I just realised that the old installation on the server has the same comment problem – it seems it happened before the move. I never noticed it before today though… Could someone maybe have a look at this? It seems as if the comments have been turned off, when in effect they haven’t been… I have no idea what could be causing this.

I am aware of that. I’m not sure how to fix it though, because that line of code is automatically geenrated by WP. Any ideas?

thanks for your suggestiong however, I don’t really want to ADD anything to the design, or layout (seeing as the list-style-none can limit me in other ways). I simply want to remove this little bullet, and I cannot find exactly where it is in my code.. I was hoping someone familiar with the theme I am using could shed some light, as I have gone through all of my code already… I’m probably missing something I’ve… erm… missed, hence asking for a second opinion.

I officially heart Bluehost. They have fixed the problem (and quickly too!) It was less then 6 hours ago when I emailed them!

their response (short and sweet): “Try it now, it was our firewall causing the problem, I added the wordpress rss feeds to our
firewall trust list, and its coming up for me now.”

excellent… the more the merrier…

erm, not that I am rejoycing in our inability to see WP right, but I think the more people that have this problem who rally together will make BlueHost more inclined to do something about it.

I was hoping I didn’t have to go anywhere else, because their plan suits me perfectly (I have about 5 domain names which I want hosted under the 1 hosting account)…

rainaot and macmanx, in my email to bluehost I mentioned you guys and your domain names, I hope you don’t mind, as a point of reference for them, as I did mention other customers or ex customers of them who have had this issue.

cypher, besically, there is no dashboard. when I log in, I only see the title of my weblong, the links (dashboard, write, manage etc) and the recent activity box on my right. everything in the middle and left is blank, as in no updates, or recent posts from developers.

thanks for the input guys… I really hope they fix this up.

Has bluehost caused any issues for anyone with their WP besides this dashie thing? I really don’t want to move hosts again, but it would be good if they fixed it – I don’t want limited functionality!

thanks marc – I know this is no place for such discussion, and I feel sorry for her and everything, but I’m sick of the mass sheep hysteria that has followed here in Australia… just because she’s young and pretty, well she must be innocent, lets throw the judicial system out the window… /end rant.

This is silly. I don’t see why not… I have spoken to BlueHost and they know nothing about it…. obviously since they don’t support it, and thats fair enough, but I think if a few BH customers are having this issue it needs to be addressed.

just a comment though – I believe that if BlueHost cannot support WP so that it runs properly, it shouldn’t really be advertised as one of the hosts on the hosting section of the WP website. this is one of the only reasons I signed up with BlueHost in the first place, and I might have to swap hosts now… :/

sisters, when you login to WP, can you see the dashboard? Myself and another BlueHost user have had a problem displaying the main page of the WP login…

good for wordpress… thats the only good thing I can say about that site. guilty as charged….
