In reply to: Page Link on Navbar Needs to Change, How?Scratch that. Not taken care of..
Since it’s not marked as resolved yet,
I had to change the link of the checkout,
https://www.breathesafely.com/shopping/?page_id=123 is the page I set it up on. It’s linked on my navbar and everytime I change it (Using Page Links to and Quick Page/Post Redirect plugins it gets caught in “the loop”), it doesn’t work.https://www.breathesafely.com/shopping/?page_id=123
works. But I can’t have 1/2 links pointing to the checkout be pointing at the non-secure version of the checkout. Is there somehwere I can hardcode in the link for the navbar like what I did to the sidebar shopping cart? Thanks so much for any advice you may be able to give.

In reply to: Error Establishing Database ConnectionCrikey, I’m an idiot!
The problem was that I had setup a free hosting account and apparently wordpress does not work with the GoDaddy linux free hosting accounts. I repeat,
Godaddy and WordPress Install will not work with the free hosting accounts over at Godaddy. Even if you are using the linux server. I had the wp-config correct. The only reason I knew this was because I called tech support. Hopefully the next chap will be able to find this WordPress-Go daddy-install thread before having to spend 20 minutes on hold like me.

In reply to: adding ezine thumbnailOh, for that you should be able to go to your widget section (if your theme allows) and add arbitrary txt. You can add simple html tags here and it will always show up on every page (unless you specify otherwise)
Good luck

In reply to: Error Establishing Database ConnectionThe Host Name is:
minutekiller.db.4987984.hostedresource.comI switched it up in wp-config.php still seeing the same error. I get the feeling it is something really closely related to this. Sooo close!

In reply to: Two Installs – Both Are Not WorkingFWIW, I did the ‘live chat’ tech support and was instructed to go to https://edgewild(dot)startlogic(dot)com/wordpress/
for the install. After that I could access it at edgewild(dot)com/wordpress
Since the tech support set it up where I had temporarily placed the wordpress dir, I will have to set it up to point at the wordpress subfolder for the main domain. I wanted it on the root (as the main domain). Is there any way to do this other than by domain pointing? The main purpose for the new site is for SEO and the ability to utilize social media sites.
Thanks!

In reply to: Two Installs – Both Are Not WorkingI put wordpress back on the site so if you go to the site you will see what I mean.
dtiger, I do have all the database info. I just downloaded a second copy straight from the WordPress site too..

In reply to: Two Installs – Both Are Not WorkingYeah, actually that is the one decent one that I found. The frustrating thing is that I can’t find the WP Install shortcut icon in Vdeck anywhere.. it must not be there anymore or else I’m a moron. It’s up for debate!
The domain is www(dot)edgewild(dot)com
I put the old file contents back up for now and removed WordPress so the site wasn’t “down”
Any idea why it would be doing this? It doesn’t sound like a screwy install it just seems like something isn’t updating? I don’t know..
Since I wanted WordPress on the main domain I removed the main WordPress directory. As it was sitting on the server:
wp-admin
wp-content
wp-includes
(the the rest of the files)
and there was one “membership” file that would not delete without changing the permissions. There were no other directories or files visible.
I can put it back up if you think it would help. Thanks!
