Could you expand on the use case for this? Typically you would just make a user an administrator temporarily.

This plugin works now. I just updated it for WordPress 3.2.

Per the changelog, I am no longer supporting this plugin. There’s a great one called Zemata that does everything I wanted to do with this one.

If you’re on 1and1 you may also need to add this line to the very top of your .htaccess file:
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

That’s what I figured, thanks for the answer.
qTranslate is nice, and it creates a unique url (e.g., example.com/en/path/to/post/) which should play nice with W3TC but I haven’t tested it.
