How do we get an admin to chime in here? This is such an eye-sore for me to see and I’d love to get a work-around for it!
Same problem here. Have yours shown up yet? Did you find a solution? So many hoops, so little satisfaction.

In reply to: [Google AdSense] AdSense set up is stuckThanks, it looks like I’m on to the next step. I am able to use the plugin to place ads, even though I get an error 500 message when I try to save every time.
Now I have blank white squares and rectangles on my site. Hurray? Any idea how long those will be like that? I’m assuming that Google is performing some form of checking but zero feedback makes me concerned and slightly impatient. After all, it’s been about two weeks.
Thanks for your reply!

In reply to: Fixing a blocked referrer from my spam listThank you. Do you see an advantage when it comes to monetizing? Or rather, disadvantages with having a wordpress.com hosted site regarding monetizing?

In reply to: Fixing a blocked referrer from my spam listOkay, thanks for clarifying. As well as indulging a .com interloper!
Please don’t cyber-slap me when I ask this next question! I’m reading a book about blogging for profit by Ruth Soukup and in it she recommends self hosting from the start because “you will not be allowed to the freedom to operate or monetize your site the way you want to”
That said, I’ve been working on mindyourdirt.com since October of last year just trying to build an audience and add some good content. I’m not ready (or even close to being so) to begin any monetizing yet, but don’t want to create issues for the future when I very well may be.
Do you have any advice about this? I would hate to spend so much time on my wordpress.com hosted site only to have to redo everything on a self-hosted site down the road when I would want to make some income from it.
Forgive my newbie and perhaps unprepared ways.
yours,

In reply to: Fixing a blocked referrer from my spam listAhh, I see. I have my own domain name for my blog, would it be wise to have it hosted at www.remarpro.com instead of .com? If so, what would that take to do? Would my theme still work? Thanks for clarifying!

In reply to: Fixing a blocked referrer from my spam listI’m simply using the default WordPress stats that are part of the dashboard. I’ve never added any plug-ins for the blog. Sorry if I’m making this unnecessarily confusing and thanks for your help!

In reply to: Fixing a blocked referrer from my spam listThank you for replying, but I did this on my stats page in WordPress, so I’d need to fix it here and not on Pinterest. There was a little link marked spam right next to the Pinterest referrer that I accidentally clicked on. I tried to undo it, but that didn’t work and then it went away.
