I had the same exact issue as thegameison on July 4. WordPress was working fine for a while, then wouldn’t let me write or post using IE8 (Win7). What changed was the new version of WordPress (3.2) became available. That’s when the problem began.
I’ve upgraded to the new version (3.2.1 now) and the problem is gone.
