  • Here is a solution that I just found and it worked:

    RE-download a version of WP 2.02
Using an FTP program log in to your Web Site
    Open the WP files
    Open the wp-admin
Delete from the wp-admin the post.php file
    Delete wp-includes folder
Install the post.php from the new installation (of course you know that all you have to do is to drag and drop from left to right, depending on your FTP program)
Install the wp-includes folder from the new installation (using the same method above in parenthesis)

Close your FTP program. Try it! I worked for me!

    Blog away!

I am having the same problem. I have tried the IE6, the FF and the Opera and the problems are the same. I also logged in as suggested in the previous suggestion above and I could see the rich editor in there but not in my own site! What is happening? Why so many bugs on the version 2.2?

Is there anyone from WP that can offer an answer?

I have the same problem. I know a little bit about codes and PHP and did everything possible to fix it without success. I just think it is a bad plugin that does not work if your site is hosted by anyone else other than WordPress… I am giving up the widget. I will modify the Sidebar to my liking by changing the chmode period!

I give up the widget; at least until someone gives me a solution for all its bugs…

Of course you know that in the post above I meant MENU and not “meny”… it is late… Sorry!

does the Widgets plugin work when the blog is not hosted by WordPress.com but by another host such as my web site?
You can read the post above as well to know what I am talking about.

My Widgets plugin is not working. I did install the files in the right place. In the account I have through my Web site it will not show the Sidebar Editor meny in the Presentation meny as the ReadMe file for the Widget states.

Dos this plugin work when the blog is not hosted by WordPress but is hosted by another host, such as my own Website?

I installed the 2.02 in my host, but it keeps telling me I need to upgrade. I installed MANY times and the same problem occur. I also followed the 5 steps to install but then I could not login. What am I doing wrong?

I want our sidebar to be as the one here:

    https://embassyofgrace.net/cgi/blog.html

I had WP before in another serveer and was able to edit the sidebar to my liking, but I cannot write it now; I already changed permissions and attempted to do it in my File Manager through my server with no success. Can you help? How can I “uncommnent” the comment about the author? As this one:

<!– Author information is disabled per default. Uncomment and fill in your details if you want to use it.

    • <h2>Author</h2>
A little something about you, the author. Nothing lengthy, just an overview.
