Update: someone told me that IE will only read and use a certain, limited number of CSS modifications. Is that true? If so, that would explain it. Is there any way around this?

P.S. The reason this is an issue is because my website is designed for a mostly Chinese audience, and in China, most people use IE.

I have tried some things, but with no success. I think if I could align the tagline to the left, meaning aligned with the left side of the first menu item below it, everything would work perfectly.
