First, make sure you are up to date on your wordpress install, and all plugins including wp-prowl.

This error is almost always due to another plugin causing a conflict, which causes my plugin to be loaded twice. If you’ve made any changes to my plugin code, I’d suggest re-downloading and reinstalling wp-prowl, deactivating all other plugins aside from wp-prowl, and then seeing if the issue still exists. Once you’ve determined that wp-prowl works, re-enable your other installed plugins one by one, and see when the issue reappears.

at the moment, no. currently, the project is on hiatus as I’m no longer using an iPhone, but maybe once I pick up an iPad I’ll regain interest. I’ll put it in the “features to add” pile.

this is going to happen sometime in the future, but not so soon. it’s going to require a full rewrite of how my options are stored, as well as some other problems. not a simple fix, unfortunately.

0.8.5 has been released, with this bug finally fixed. please test it out, and mark this as resolved if it’s fixed for you.

    thanks!

this has been changed in the current beta 0.8.5b1 which can be grabbed from SVN. Please note this is beta but if you’d like to give it a test I’d appreciate it! Get it here.

i’ve released the new version, with a “pending review” notification for pages and posts, as well as the delay that you’ve asked for.

however, the delay code is just a temporary implementation, as it can’t currently take revisions of a particular post into account (the code DJR posted above also has this same failing). I’m going to write up some better code, but I need to find a way to do it that’s less “expensive” than the obvious way. I’ll keep this up to date with my progress!

I’ll take a look at this. I haven’t tested on WPMU, so this isn’t entirely surprising to me.

I’ll keep this thread updated on my progress!

absolutely a great idea. i’ll build this into the next version. the delay is something I’d been meaning to add in, but it slipped my mind.

as for the “pending review” posts, I’ll work this in as well. I don’t run a multi-author blog, so it never occurred to me that this would be a good idea.

    thanks for the feedback!

this should be fixed now. WP-prowl 0.7.0 is both PHP4 and PHP5 compatible, and all references to SimpleXMLElement have been replaced with custom code. let me know if you have any other issues.

    thanks!

ok. I’d love to take a look at this to resolve. is there any way that I could get admin access to your blog? you could create a temporary login so that I could access, and delete when I’m done. If you’re uncomfortable with that, no worries. it’s just the fastest way I can think of to troubleshoot. I’m wondering if somehow the file bacame corrupt upon upload to your server. either via you’d FTP client or otherwise.

oherwise, please email me a copy of the plugin you have on the server, so I can see if anything is corrupt. just the wp-prowl.php file is enough. that way we can continent this conversation through email as well. my email is Nate at milkandtang dot com. thanks!

can you make sure that you are using the latest version? I’m not able to replicate this using version 0.6.3. There’s nothing shady on line 43 that should ever cause that issue.

if you still aren’t able to get it working with version 0.6.3, please email me at nate at milkandtang dot com with a copy of the plugin you downloaded, as well as anything that you can tell me about your configuration. that means server configuration, as well as wordpress (version, other plugins installed, etc).

sorry you’re having trouble. let’s see what we can do to get this solved!
