I am having a similar problem. I have been working with WP Engine to resolve it. They recommend I reach out to JetPack so here I am. ??

Basically the issue I am having is that the cache isn’t being rebuilt to include the short link so it 404’s where the normal permalink works fine.

Custom post type site map would rock too. Looking at the code, basically all you would need to do is add an attribute to the [shortcode_posts] to replace the post type argument.

Plus a check incase the user enters an invalid post name.

I’d love to add this in, if your open to it. ??

Add this custom CSS to your theme or child theme:

}

This should work for most modern themes.

I have a fix in place to the live site so the link shows the 41px margin top now.

Ditto on adding a setting or changing the behavior. I love opening a post in text view but I learned that bloggers dont…they like visual. Every time you save it goes back to text view which was frustrating to my blogger customer.
