Hi @zerogravity,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Based on your description, if you have feed items visible under the WP RSS Aggregator > Feed items menu, these items should also load using the shortcode. Could it be possible that you have renamed the feed source? Please test this by using the shortcode as follows: [wp-rss-aggregator]. Additionally, ensure that the items have the correct dates (not in the future).
?Let me know how it goes.
Hi @myco2 thanks for getting back to me and for the clarification.
To adjust the size of the popup on mobile, depending on your current theme styles and screen size, you’d need to add some custom CSS to change the size. Would you please share a public link where you are testing this out?
Hi @dexterweb thanks for reaching out to us, the WP RSS Aggregator plugin is limited to the aggregation of content from valid RSS feeds into feed items. Would you please share more on how you are generating the RSS feed?
Thanks so much for leaving this review! We really appreciate it???
Hi @karlmevans, I’m afraid this is the current behavior with the interval implementation, as the cron job is set to fire after the last fetch. This means that when you fetch manually, the cron job sets the re-fetch to the next 24 hours from that time. I’ll pass along this feedback to the engineering team for consideration on how to improve it.
@karlmevans, regarding the age limit, the plugin will only retain feed items that are up to 1 day old, deleting any older items. This includes feed items from the last 24 hours. If you are interested in synchronizing the imported items with the RSS feed items, please refer to: Keep Feed in Sync with Current State.
@jpl98, with the WP RSS Aggregator, it’s not possible to convert an RSS feed to make it work on a static HTML page. The plugin will only function within a WordPress environment. You can use the plugin to aggregate items from the original WordPress RSS feed and then, using a shortcode, display the aggregated items on a page within the site where you have them imported. Please refer to the following article for additional context on how this process should work and how you can build a content hub.
Hi nevil7, you are most welcome, and don’t hesitate to write back with further questions, I’m happy to help.
Hey @hetal25, thanks for getting back to us, for premium feature queries including licensing issues, ?please use our contact form, as this forum is only for questions related to the free version.
Hey andygalliers & Isabelle, the screenshot shared looks okay, thanks for getting back to us and for sharing, would you mind confirming if the import tasks are running as expected now?
Hi @isabelle thanks for getting in touch, looking at the logs, it appears that the plugin has not attempted to fetch since October, looking at the screenshot shared here this confirm the fact that the cron jobs have not been firing as well. With the Cron issues on the site, would be open to setting server Cron jobs as described on this article?
Hey everyone, here’s an update on the current situation.
Right now, our team is focused on the development of a new version of WP RSS Aggregator that will overhaul most of the plugin’s code. As part of this major project, the plugin will be fully compatible with PHP 8.1.
Since this is a major undertaking, we’ve chosen to prioritize the new version before addressing the PHP warnings in the current version. This is also partly because some of the warnings are coming from an older third-party library which is no longer supported, and which we are now completely replacing.
You will receive full access to the new version as a free update, so you’ll not only be getting full PHP 8.1 compatibility but also a range of other performance and experience improvements.
Although I understand this may not be the answer you were looking for in the short term, we’re doing our best to make sure it’s worthwhile for everyone in the long run. Our goal remains to build and maintain a solution that will be around for as long as possible.
I hope you can understand our decision.
Lastly, on a personal note, thank you for being a valued part of our WP RSS Aggregator community and for holding us accountable for our shortcomings. We look forward to delivering a solution that exceeds your expectations very soon.
Thanks so much for leaving this review Ryan! We really appreciate it ??
Hi @andygalliers please allow me to check with the technical team on this and get back to you. Your patience is highly appreciated.
