its cryptic as hell isnt it … it should be as prominent as could be in the stylesheets, like right under the body element. but it never fails i have to spend ages looking for it in every theme

I’ve done some digging. I think this has something to do with page templates and that i need to build a custom page template and apply it to the page that I have set as my posts page.

can anyone tell me if i’m on the right track here?

did you ever find a resolution for this? i’ve been searching a few peoples questions similar to this and it seems no one is capable of stepping up to offer a resolution …

same problem here. On one site I’m building locally the Q&A Verification displays but can’t get the Captcha to display. On another site I am working on that is live already, can’t get either one to display. :(((

I was just having this problem and i’ve come across an easier solution:

left click on the wamp tray icon
apache>
apache modules>
check the ‘rewrite module’

bingo!

I guess that will have to do. my feeling was that it is better to have a page indexed in search engines that is constantly getting updated.

I’m having the opposite problem .. I want to turn the link description *off* but dont know how. It automatically shows the description under the link and I’d like it to only appear when hovering over. Have no clue how to turn it off

ok, i just noticed something. It cycled through the images once, and then on the last image it just doesnt change no matter how many times i refresh or return to the page.

So possibly either it is working but it has a bug,

or else is it meant only to rotate through once and not repeat?

i put the kubrickheader file back to normal, toggled the name and description back on, and restored the original body of the header.php file to get the (‘name’) back in there. now what?

it would seem i’m back to square one, except, that i’ve got my image file in the #header in the stylesheet which is where it was before this incident started and everything was ok. so why is it not showing up in the header? where is this pesky kubrickheader that i cannot seem to locate? or is it a php function that code got changed when i hit “Update Header”. that button should really come with a warning by the way

Ha, try this one on for size – i just saved my image file on my computer as kubrickheader.jpg, uploaded and overwrite the original file, and at first i refreshed and nothing changed in the header. then i clicked the magic “Update Header” button again, and now it shows half my graphic file and half the default blue background kubrickheader.jpg original file that i overwrote. ??

HOWEVER, when i go to my cpanel and show the contents of the file, it doesnt show my graphic header at all! shows the default blue background. but how can that be possible if i overwrote that file?
