..For some reason the wordpress (installed through a hosting company control panel) added colons to the addresses in general settings. Took them out and problem solved.

However, modifying the footer still works flawlessly..

Okay, so it’s not just the header- trying to change the video on the static front page and that won’t change either.. But editing the css file still seems to update fine..

I’ve only been using 1 and I’ve just double-checked again.

It’s driving me nuts.

The only active plugin I am using is jetpack..

I don’t know! How could I find out?

1. How stupid of me, I just started using wp in the last few days – didn’t realise plugins had different compatibilities. Will know in the future.

2. I tried something similar: I deleted the php of the plugin, within the folder, to no avail.

This worked right away, thanks very much for the help

PS. The blog itself seems to be down with the error SOMETIMES. But sometimes its not..
