Is this the right plugin? It won’t replace “Howdy” with “Hi” unless you choose “My Own Personal Greeting”, Type in “Hi” and save it.

You should see, in the dropdown, the choice: “Today’s Day and Date” and save that.

Give that a try. Let me know.

Back to your comment, there are other plugins named:
“Social Media Share Buttons Popup & Pop Up Social Sharing Icons”,
“Advanced Page Visit Counter – Most #1 Advanced WordPress Visit Counter Plugin”, and
“Social Share Buttons, Social Sharing Icons, Click to Tweet — Social Media Plugin by Social Snap”

So it could be lots worse!

Thanks. I appreciate the reference to that info. What I cannot find there is the answer to this:

Up to now, “date_default_timezone_set” could be used to designate the zone for the plugin to use. Now that we’re not supposed to use that, how do we designate time in the plugin?

Repeating so I can ask to be notified of follow-up replies.

Fixed! I had previously installed, rejected, and deactivated another plugin to do similar things. Despite de-activation, the previous subscribe form remained in the widget in the sidebar. I tried to make it work and it wouldn’t – for obvious reasons.

Once I realized it was the wrong form in my sidebar, I deleted it and installed Gopi’s form — all is good now.

Thank you for jumping right on this to help me. I’m glad it was just me being confused by the old system not fully going away.

Okay, found this one. The Contact Form number in the shortcode is not the 1, 2, or 3 as you add forms. It is the 5-digit id number of the form.

Same as the previous post — Fatal error coming from the plugin php on line 39.

I’m using the default Contact Form 7 form and a PDF download on Download Monitor — nothing fancy.

Me, too —

I installed this so I can allow people to choose which blogs they want to subscribe to. That means they need to choose a category. Can’t this do that?

If you come up with the new edit screen, that will be a big help. I don’t have to deal with the big tables that often – maybe your new, faster screen will work by then. Meantime, TablePress is very impressive, very helpful.
