I think its time for a reality check here. What support have I received?

I initially contacted you enquiring if it was possible to purchase a single user licence and then upgrade to a multi-user licence when I’d finished testing.

Your responded offering me an unlimited licence for $50 as you said you needed $150 to secure a new theme.

I actually sent you $75 as a gesture of good will and support!

10/5/2011 – I emailed you requesting the wpStoreCart Pro files and raising the issue of the odd behaviour with wpStoreCarts internal shipping calculation.

No response.

19/5/2011 – I emailed you a reminded.

No response.

3/6/2011 – I emailed you a reminded.

No response.

22/6/2011 – I filed a PayPal dispute.

Hooray – you responded saying that you had left your reply from 3/6/2011 as a draft and that the files could not be downloaded while the order was set as a dispute.

I replied – “I kinda figured you were probably swamped with emails so when I didn’t get any response I left it as long as I could before resorting to paypal”. I also sent you a link to a site so you could see the bug in action.

29/6/2011 – You said “I will fix this” (so I figured you must have looked at it) and asked if I would cancel the dispute while “we work together to fix this issue”.

6/7/2011 – I emailed you to advise that I had cancelled the dispute and that I was still unable to download the files.

No Response.

19/7/2011 – I emailed you the following message which you seemed to find “rude”?

Interesting that I have to raise a PayPal dispute to establish contact with you… as soon as I cancel the PayPal dispute I get ignored again…
This is disappointing, but I’m not going to ‘flog a dead horse’ here….guess I’ll have to chalk this one up to experience.

So, as you can see here… I sent plenty of emails saying “hey, what’s the status on that bug fix?” but you chose to ignore them.

All I was looking for was one line saying that you were working on it… I got no reply. Instead I have to rattle your cage just to get dialogue.

I’m sincerely sorry that you and your family are struggling Jeff…. But we all have bills to pay. You don’t seem too concerned about my family…I invested $75 in your venture that I had to go out and work hard for, and what did I get for it? .. Well…less than nothing… I didn’t get the wpStoreCart files.. and I wasted time with a plugin which, by your own admission, is fundamentally flawed.

You seem to have time to devote to developing marketing materials (which is reprehensible) and writing page long emails… you’d be better off fixing serious issues.

An ecommerce plugin with a buggy shipping module is useless.

FYI WilliamBaller… I am not a ‘hater’ but I do hate being ripped off! – I’m not disputing that Jeff has put a lot of hard work into the plugin…which may even show some promise some day… but when someone takes your money for a product which they know is flawed and then just ignores you? …. You have to raise a PayPal dispute just to establish contact…. When you are promised to have the issues resolved and are persuaded to cancel the dispute giving up your right to a refund… just to have them go back to ignoring you!! …seems like poor form and poor support to me!

If the shipping calculation is working for you… then your experience is very different from mine.

If I understand you correctly this should be fairly straight forward.
In WordPress, normally your blog shows as the default home page on the site. However you can choose to set the home page to a static page if you prefer, which is how your site is currently set up.

Create a new page called home (or any other name it doesn’t really matter as this will be the home page) copy the info you wish to display on the home page to this new page.

On the page named ‘Degeneration’ put the information appropriate to this page.

Next, in your WordPress control panel, go to the Reading Settings window (Settings–> Reading)In the left-hand menu. Here choose front page displays a static page and select the ‘Home’ page you created from the drop-down menu. Then select the page your blog is on ie ‘Blognews’ and click ‘Save Changes’.

Then select your ‘Degeneration’ page in edit mode and make Research its parent page.

You should now your requested structure.
