    Hello again,

I’m still struggling to find a solution on this one. What I found out until now is that there is no conflict between the events calendar plugin and the theme I currently use. I made a test: I installed wordpress with the theme I currently use for my website, along with the events calendar plugin over a fresh subdomain. Works absolutely fine. So I suppose it’s one of the plugins I’m using which causes this issue. Or it could be a plugin I have used and removed, which left something behind (like Events Manager or other events/calendar plugin I’ve tried).

Currently I have the following plugins over my website:

    Akismet
    Code Snippets
    Contact Form by BestWebSoft
    Facebook
    Facebook Comments Sync
    Google Analytics by MonsterInsights
    Regenerate Thumbnails
    Simple Tooltips
    The Events Calendar
    The Events Calendar Shortcode
    Woocommerce
    Woosidebars
    WP Canvas – Gallery
    Yoast SEO

From your experience did you have some conflicts reported in the past with any of the plugins in the list?

    Thank you,
    Mihai

I managed to go one step forward and forced the widgets from my blog section to get inactive while accessing the events page or a single event. Still, when I click on my events page the “blog” section appears as active (selected). The reason I do not see the widgets from the blog in the left side is that I’m using another plugin which forces an empty widget area while accessing the events page.

I still do not understand why the “events” page activates the blog section. It’s like the events calendar and it’s events are part of my blog section, however I deactivated the “Include events in main blog loop” option.

    Hello,

I was using your calendar and wrote this post several times in order to solve the issue I was mentioning above, but no one replied up to now and I decided to use another plugin. However I still prefer The Events Calendar and I reactivated it so you can have a look. Please have a look on my website considering the links above and reply me as soon as you can.

    Thank you very much,
    Mihai

    Hello,

Thank you for replying. Because the reply took so long I chose another plugin for events/calendar. However I still prefer The Events Calendar and would like to use it instead of anything else, but only if I manage to solve the problem with the blog. I reactivated it on my website. If you want to give another try please check what’s this bug all about.

I managed somehow to eliminate the blog widgets from the main events page by using another plugin, however the blog link still remains active in this situation: https://www.mihai-zamfiroiu.com/events/

All the blog widgets will anyway appear when you open an individual event (see following link): https://www.mihai-zamfiroiu.com/event/victor-silvia/

I would be grateful if you could help me solve this strange issue.

    Thank you very much,
    Mihai

    Regards,
    Mihai
