WordPressの再インストールで表示できたとの事で良かったです。
（構築お疲れさまです???！）

アイコンが表示されなかった原因は、WordPress本体の不具合か、
独自フォルダへのインストールとの事で原因が特定できませんが、
フォントデータをCDN参照にするなど、テーマのほうで対応できそうなことは
バージョンアップで対応していけたらと思います。

「Chocolat」を使っていただいてありがとうございます。

「Chocolatの設定」の「カスタムCSS」の
/* カスタマイズするCSSをここに入力してください。 */
の次の行から

#header-image {
  display: none;
}

.home #header-image {
  display: block;
}

と記述（コピペ）してください。
トップページ以外のスライダー画像が表示されなくなります。
（表示されないだけで、データとしては読み込まれています。）

さくらのサーバーでも、バージョン（サーバーの取得時期）によって違うようで、
新しいサーバーだと問題ないようです。

.htaccess で対応する以外の方法として、フォントデータをCDN参照にする方法があります。
ただ、それでちゃんと読み込まれるようになるか、こちらでは確認できないので、marikopart2さんに実際に試していただくことになりますが…。

CDN参照について、わからないことなどありましたらまたご質問ください。

すみませんが、テーマの問題でなくサーバーの問題となりますと
さくらのサーバーの事は私はあまり詳しくないので、
日本語フォーラムでトピを立てて頂いたほうが
他の方から回答が得られるかと思います。
