In reply to: Categories Not Alphabetizing and Showing Subcategories in 1.5OOh!! This solves a problem I’ve been having with list_cats!! And I’m with you. I’d like the number of posts per cat.

In reply to: Pageviews Plugin (ready)Has anything been done on this? I’m looking for a plugin that does just this!

In reply to: Problem with list_cats() and categories with childI’m having this same problem. I’ve got list_cats set to this:
<?php list_cats(0, ”, ‘name’, ‘asc’, ”, 1, 0, 1, 1, 0, ‘TRUE’, ”,”,”,”,”,”) ?>
And it doesn’t change anything, and the categories still do not organize themselves according to parents and children (instead, just an ABC list). I’ve put TRUE with and without quotes. No luck.
Any help?

In reply to: list_cats problems in 1.5Ah ha! I was just about to ask for some help with this! So is this what’s responsible for there being no change to my categories despite my telling it to show parents and children?

In reply to: Blacklist not workingJoni: I suppose that I shouldn’t really complaint about the plugins, in the end. What seems to be happening is that spammers are leaving comments with no links in them and with random quotes and whatnot. I’m used to this.
What’s really irking me at the moment is that the spam all gets held for moderation (which is what both of the plugins do). I’d just rather have it deleted unless it comes from a known-good IP or name. Kitten’s Spam Words offers a nice little “invert checkbox selection,” which makes everything easier, but manually selecting 200 pieces of spam for deletion is a real pain.
Does Kitten’s comment killer delete the spam? I’ve not tried it yet.

In reply to: Blacklist not workingI’m having the same problem. Occasionally, a piece of spam will make its way through the combination of blacklist and kitten’s spam words. And I’m really getting hammered by spammers lately…it’s not uncommon for me to wake up and find 150-200 pieces of spam being held for moderation and a few (usually only 2-3) that have slipped through the cracks.

In reply to: How to do a miniblog…Kitten says that there’s something in that function that calls for code the original poster didn’t provide. Also says that the next version of show_categories plugin (due, perhaps, tomorrow) will feature the miniblog….

In reply to: How to do a miniblog…Yup. Enabled. No blank space in the my-hacks. Here’s the error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: the_category_ids() in /home/scott/public_html/scott/wp/my-hacks.php on line 3Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to do a miniblog…Johnnie: I’m getting that, too.

In reply to: How to do a miniblog…Pardon my ignorance, but what does this mean:
“Insert this line just after the start of the loop in index.php”
What is “the loop”?

In reply to: List Only Post Titles Within a Category?Bump!
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: permalink by categoryI’m trying to do very much the same thing, except I only want the titles (and perhaps an excerpt) of the posts in each category displayed, rather than the entire contents of each category. Is there a way to accomplish this?
Cheers
