Just select the X share button instead in Settings > AddToAny > Add/Remove Services.

The cause is the perfmatters plugin and its reckless use of the outdated “FastClick” script, which improperly overrides click/touch events on mobile. FastClick hasn’t been useful for over a decade and only adds bugs and bloat to a site. From the authors of FastClick:

Note: As of late 2015 most mobile browsers – notably Chrome and Safari – no longer have a 300ms touch delay, so fastclick offers no benefit on newer browsers, and risks introducing?bugs?into your application.

No plugin or theme should be using FastClick. Report it as a bug to the author(s).

You can strip the # value by modifying the shared URL like so:

Just add the above code to your Additional JavaScript box in Settings > AddToAny.

Per the FAQ on Facebook sharing, you’ll want to troubleshoot with Facebook’s sharing debugger, which currently shows:

Can’t Download

Could not resolve the hostname into a valid IP address

That means Facebook servers can’t reach your page, probably due to a “security” plugin or something else that blocks bots/crawlers.

The share buttons are displaying on the site for visitors (as you can see with tools such as browserling.com), so you’ll want to troubleshoot your own device/browser/connection.

You’ll want to purge a cache somewhere since some plugin is caching AddToAny (etc.) on your site:

Yes, to show only the universal share button on mobile within the shortcode, you can add some code to your “Additional CSS” box in Settings > AddToAny:

Using LinkedIn’s Post Inspector (per AddToAny’s doc on meta tags) you can see that the page’s canonical URL needs to be fixed since it’s pointing to the /job-board page.

Similar to this topic on sharing audio files, the only reliable way is to have a dedicated page per image.

The preview image on social networks is basically static per page — it cannot be dynamic unfortunately.

You have not posted in the plugin’s support forum.

AddToAny shares URLs, and successful audio/visual sites have this in common: Each media file has its own dedicated web page & URL.

If you’re trying to share an audio file directly, you will run into issues on social networks, and you will be forfeiting site/brand awareness, SEO, etc. Have AddToAny share a web page instead.

Only with a web page can you set the preview image, description, etc. using HTML meta tags.

So that wasn’t super intentional?! ??
