Media Statistics – Redirect URL 2

    I self-host (we are a very small niche podcast) and have just put a redirect url in to Redirect URL 2 field to see if I can get some stats from Chartable to compare with Blubrry. The redirect works perfectly if I do it manually, but is not turning up in my feed. Should it not be on the start of each mp3 file path in my feed, before the blubrry one?

    Thanks for using PowerPress!

    The media redirect URL fields check the fields against a list of known and 100% compatible redirects. A redirect from Chartable is not in that list. Please have the developers at Chartable contact me with documentation, we can add support for their redirects once we have tested that they work. They can contact me at cio [at] rawvoice dot com.

    We added these checks to the redirect URLS because in the past we had users who literally put anything in there including Google analytics codes. If the redirect does not work correctly for podcasting podcasts can be delisted from Apple, among many of the other bad things that happen. We now test and confirm redirect patterns that work before allowing them to be applied to media URLs for this reason.

    They tell me they have emailed you, and have emailed you in the past to sort this out too.

    I am glad you followed up. If they emailed me, they must have gotten the address wrong as I do not see anything in my inbox. Ask them to use another email account and also verify they got the correct address.
