In reply to: (1) Can’t Upload Media; (2) Favicon ProblemGeorge,
I’ve solved my favicon problem. It was simple, really. All I did was ignore WordPress and put the standard link in my <head> just after <title>, as recommended by W3 Schools. The link I used was <link rel=”icon” type=”image/png” href=”/wp-content/images/bo-favicon.png”>
I’m not worried about being unable to upload files now to my WP Media page since I can do it via FTP.
Thanks to you and Farid, who also replied.

In reply to: Error log using up disk utilization on Plesk WP accountI have deleted the /about/ page as the easiest thing to do while I get up to speed on how to check on things as you advise. Here’s a basic question: How do I check for page errors? Where are error log entries? Are they part of the “Inspect” procedure?
I appreciate your kind help and for putting up with an untutored webmaster!

In reply to: Error log using up disk utilization on Plesk WP accountI’m afraid some of what you wrote is above my head technically. I know web design, but not the backend issues. My site was designed years ago on WordPress by someone who is unavailable to help, but I’ve been maintaining it. This problem, however, began to appear last year and is out of my skill range unless someone can hold my hand on it.
What if I just removed the /about/ page altogether? Would the problem still persist?

In reply to: WordPress image issue on v5.9.1Thank you for the alert. I’ve just installed v.5.9.3 and it does, indeed, fix my shrinking image problem. You have been a great help.

In reply to: WordPress image issue on v5.9.1@sagi76 Thanks for the advice, but I already use the Classic Editor plugin. I’ll just wait it out.

In reply to: WordPress image issue on v5.9.1I have had the opposite problem. Versions 5.9.1 and 5.9.2 shrank images on my pages. Therefore, !’ve stuck to 5.9 and cancelled auto updates for the time being. I hope 5.9.3 fixes this.
Oops, the HTML code read the image in my reply above. I guess I can’t display the code

That sure did the trick! Thanks so much. This is a terrific plugin and you just made it better.
Thank you for the reply. My WordPress site is a bit unconventional, designed originally by someone else, but mongrelized by me.
The issue is related to my theme, but for the moment, I’m going to continue using the WPTouch share scheme on my mobile site and use JetPack’s on my desktop site.

In reply to: Re-order Pages sequence in WP Pages contents viewP.S. This is not the same issue as changing the sequence in which the pages & posts appear in the small screen. This is simply a menu sequencing matter.
Issue resolved. I actually read the WPTouch Pro instructions on how to do this by putting disabling code in the Custom Code box. Yay!

In reply to: How do I create a hotspot in my background image? To Catacaustic:
I have a brand new problem relating to the HTML/CSS code you listed above. When the code did not work, I removed it, but for some strange reason, the HTML text I used between the “a href” links still lingers on my page! I have cleared the cache of every browser I have, to no avail. Then I cleared the cache of the plugin WP Super Cache and I even deactivated WP Super Cache. Still, no joy. After reactivating WP Super Cache, the text yet remains!
To Evan Herman:
Thanks for the link. I’ll look into that program.

In reply to: How do I create a hotspot in my background image? The link area was clear, but still no go. My designer is no longer available, which is why I’m mastering this site myself. The hotspot is not a huge issue, just something I wanted to do. Maybe I’ll figure something out someday.
Cheers and thanks again.

In reply to: How do I create a hotspot in my background image?I followed your instructions, but no joy! My cursor doesn’t turn into a pointing finger. It would seem logical to place a <div> right squarely over the portion of the body I want to be an image map hotspot, but it doesn’t work.
Perhaps I should tell you that I’m using a custom theme designed by someone else. Maybe this makes a difference.
Thank you very much for weighing in.
