In reply to: [Gutenberg] How do you write with this?Hi hugrat
I am using Gutenberg intensively since a couple months now and I did not attend a special university for that.
For sure I had to figure out a few things at the beginning but as of now, it is just nice to work with it.
Maybe you give it another chance. In my opinion, most things can be realised easily with Gutenberg. Thanks

In reply to: [Gutenberg] It sucks!Hi kantze
You can’t compare Gutenberg with Elementor or other page builders (as Gutenberg is a page builder light).
Please bear in mind that page builders generate a lot of shortcodes in order to make content look pretty. Gutenberg just uses a different approach.
What exactly bothers you about Gutenberg? Is there anything specific you cannot do with Gutenberg but you can with Classic Editor?
Cheers

In reply to: [Gutenberg] ???? We ?? Classic Editor!I see. In this case you could update your custom plugins for Gutenberg, or is that not possible?

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Great idea but not nearly ready for prime timeHi DFJ3
With Gutenberg you can.
Just use the HTML block, insert your text there and style the word in a different color. This is the same that happens with the classic editor, but is also not a very common use case in my opinion.Change always leads to: think more about stuff which used to work differently. An important thing is to be open to it and to actually figure out how it works. Without this will it is difficult.
I am sure that Gutenberg will be successful on the long term. I had doubts as well about one year ago, but they faded as I saw how it improved a lot.
Cheers

In reply to: [Gutenberg] HorrificHi kelleychambers
Simply because a lot of people around the world are working hard on making Gutenberg better with each release.
I recently did a redesign from my website where I used a page builder before. Now I am using 100% of Gutenberg and I love it. In my opinion, the design looks pretty neat as well. The GUI of Gutenberg is nice in my opinion. It makes it very easy to edit content, don’t you think?
What exactly is horrific about it in your opinion and what do you need help with? Thanks and have a great day

In reply to: [Gutenberg] I love Change. But only change for the better! For me Gutenberg is far more close to what the website looks like in the frontend than any other editor or page builder.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Really not for meHi davequail
I wonder why you end up with either Elementor or Classic Editor.
What exactly is it that you cannot achieve by using Gutenberg?Best,

In reply to: [Gutenberg] DesolationHi jmpoulhes
If you use a h1 title and insert a h2 title block afterwards, they always have a different font size by default.
What exactly do you try to achieve?

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Fantastic editor@karmatosed I think it would be great to have a button called “Export blog posts (from classic editor)” or something like that at /wp-admin/edit.php.
If you click on it, a separate view in the backend opens. It contains an option for the admin to select either some or all (1-n) blog posts to export. This file then contains the content of the selected blog posts done with the classic editor including all meta data such as title, date published, author, etc.
Afterwards, I imagine to have another button at /wp-admin/edit.php named “Import blog posts (for the block editor)” which makes it possible to import the same file again and the magic (migration process from classic to block) happens in the background.
This could be one approach.
Or a different approach (maybe “easier”) without the need of an export: Just have a button for blog posts saying “Migrate content from classic to block editor”.
The same for wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page.In my opinion, the lack of having such an option is a big obstacle for people getting familiar easily with the new editor.
Thirdly, instead of putting that into core, it might be a good idea to have a separate plugin for that process.
What do you think?
